This kit is for the DIY'er or handyperson that wants a platform bed in their '96 and newer van but doesn't want to pay thousands of dollars for one of the complete kits already out there and/or doesn't own a 100 ton metal brake or a TIG welder.
We are building these now in four formats each tailored to the width and curvature of the van walls for a given height:
The High kit is designed to be installed at 44" off the floor (some wiggle room)
The Medium kit is designed to be installed at 40" (some wiggle room)
The Low kit is designed to be installed at 36" (some wiggle room)
**No instructions included. Please note that you'll need some basic fabrication knowledge and tools. At least a drill and maybe a metal saw if you want to alter the rails. **
So why 95" rails? UPS and FedEx have what works out to a 100 buck surcharge for anything with a dimension over 96" and a lot of 170 owners builds can make do with shorter rails than the super long ones we make to go from C-D-E pillars. You will probably want to cut them down to whatever works best for your build.
